Stanizlaus Parzyk, CP
Letter from Clement Buckley, C.P.
(on spelling his name)

26 October 1969

Very Rev Fr Rector CP
Saint Pauls Monastery
148 Monastery Avenue
Pittsburgh Pa 15203

Dear Father Rector

Through 'Father Hyacinth Malkowiak CP' and 'The Polish American Historical Association' we have learned that the family name of FATHER STANISLAUS PARZYK, one of the co-founders of the Province is mis-spelled in several documents. In some documents and letters, Father's name is spelled: PARCZYK or PAREZYKI, etc. The correct spelling of the name is:

FATHER STANISLAUS PARZYK, C.P.

This spelling error occurs in the following places in Pittsburgh records, documents, letters and if possible the corrections should be made at this time:

The spelling on the tombstone of Father Stanislaus grave-monastic vaults.
The Chronicles of Saint Paul's, Pittsburgh.
The Book of Departure & Arrivals, Pittsburgh; the Mission Book.
The Alphabetical Index and Principal Events Index, Pittsburgh Archives.
Document numbers in the Archives: 1, 9, 10, 12, 13, 52, 57, 58, 59.
Compelled to Speak - Yuhaus: pages: 37, 41, 51, 59, 64, 66, 67, 77, 79, 86, 95, 98, 101, 209, 210, 211, 212, 217, 301, 310 and the book's Index.
The Passionists - Ward: pages: 105, 135, Index and all references.

Sincerely in Christ,
