Father Ronan Carroll, C.P., St. Paul of the Cross Province (1904-1963)

Born Austin Patrick Carroll on March 17, 1904 in Scranton, Pennsylvania he was professed as a Passionist on September 12, 1926 and ordained on May 22, 1932. For many years he lived with a heart condition. He died at Holy Family Monastery, West Hartford, Connecticut and was known as a kind confessor to the priests and people of the area. His brothers were Father Hugh Carroll, C.P. and Father Alban Carroll, C.P.
