Father Angelo Rauber, C.P., St. Paul of the Cross Province (1863-1935)

Born Francis Ruber on April 4, 1863 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania he grew up in the shadows of the Passionist monastery. In 1879, at sixteen he entered the Passionist novitiate. On February 12, 1880 he professed his vows and received the name Angelo. He was ordained on December 17, 1887. After ordination he was an active preacher. Around 1918 his health and mental spirits began to weaken and this condition stayed with him until his death.
