Brother Paul Fritschy, C.P., St. Paul of the Cross Province (1864-1939)

Born Paul Fritschy in Lufen, Switzerland on November 4, 1864, he came to the United States at a young age and after several jobs decided to enter religious life. He was familiar with the Passionists in West Hoboken, New Jersey and decided to enter the Passionist novitiate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he professed his vows on May 15, 1894. He died in Scranton after a short illness
