- History of the Passionists: Its Origin and Development in the Founder's Period (1720-1775). Rome: Edizoni Eco, 1987.
- Bernard Mary Silvestrelli, Passionist. Passionist Generalate, Rome. 1990. Translated by Father Patrick Rogers, C.P.
This is a very good book. Father Giorgini is one of the premier Passionist historians. Divided into eight chapters it is written with an eye to promote his sanctity. However, those who are interested in Passionist history on an international level would find chapter 3 of interest epescially as it explains the state of the congregation in 1878, developments from 1878 to 1888; the Passionist foundations in Mexico, Argentina and Chile, Australia, the United States, the Anglo-Hibernian province, France, Belgium, and Holland, and Italy.
